Robert Stevens

After a 18 month battle with cancer, Robert Stevens, 59, lost the fight on August 30, 2012, with his family by his side at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He was born December 12, 1952 in Morrison, Illinois to Lee and Jacqueline Stevens. He was the first of five boys and is preceded in death by is brother Jeffrey Stevens. Robert graduated from Oregon High School in 1971. He served in the Air Force from 1971 to 1991. Robert enjoyed many outdoor activities including hunting and fishing. He was a collector of many things but his first and longest love was for Star Trek. He loved it so much, he dedicated a whole room in his home to Star Trek and even got two tattoos to show his passion for the show. He loved to attend the annual Star Trek conventions and New Year’s parties that were held in Las Vegas. Robert is survived by his mother, Jacqueline; his daughters, Jennifer and Mary; his son in law, Cisco; his brothers and their spouses, Michel and Jennifer Stevens, and David and Cindy Stevens; his brother Clifford; and his 4 grandchildren, Anthony, Bruno, Adrian, and Matthew; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at La Paloma Funeral Home in Las Vegas, Nevada.

  • Bob was the best of us . I wish he was still here. he as gone to soon. I was hoping to spend some time with him in my retierement. I guess we all think that there will be time to do what we want later. Bob did what he wanted and I am glad for him. I lost my brother Kenneth and one of my oldest friends last year and now my closest cousin. Time waits for no man. Mark
