Ron Christenson
July 5, 1958 – Sept 14, 2019
Ron passed away suddenly at home on Sept 14, 2019. Ron was born Ronnie Carl Christenson on July 5, 1958 to parents Walter LaVerne and Barbara Jane Christenson in Sylmar, CA at the home of his Nana Rose and Papa Charles Jordin’s house. Growing up he lived in Saugus, CA, Redding, CA and Reno, NV before moving to Cortez, CO. He moved back to Reno and attended Wooster High School. Ron made many friends in his travels that he kept in touch with and some he had reconnected with recently. He liked anything with a motor and had a boat, motorcycles, a Porsche that he road raced and snowmobiles, He loved to hike in Dixie Valley, CA with his dogs Ruckus and Rocksanne; both preceded him in death. Ron loved helping his friend Todd Denton race his off road car as Asst. Crew Chief. He was always there for his friends and they were there for him. He was a snow border, a wakeboard rider; he was a great guy! He was also a brother, son, uncle, boyfriend and best friend.
He is survived by his domestic partner Gerene “Geri” Cessna, his mother Barbara Logan of Sun Valley, NV, half-brother William “Chris” (Lynn) Christenson of Fernley, NV, sisters Rhonda (Woody) Cantrell of Hemet, CA, Cyndi Christenson of Sun Valley, NV, uncle Charles “Chuck” (Betty) Jordin of Bakersfield, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. His father Walter LaVerne Christenson preceded him in death in January of 2002.
We will have a celebration of his life at a later date.

Marianne, Alex, and I will miss Ron. We were surprised to hear of his passing. We thought he would always be with us because the world without Ron just doesn’t seem right. He was that kind of guy, one who made the world better because they’re here.
