Steve Smith
Our beloved Husband, Father, and DadDad, Steve Smith, passed away on December 16, 2020. The oldest of three children, Steve was born to Roy and Wanda Smith on July 13, 1946 in Superior, Nebraska. The family moved to Colorado when Steve was a teen. He met his wife Lydia in the summer of 1972 and married shortly after. Their daughter, Casey, was born a few years later. He could often be found working on a home project, fixing up a Corvette, or helping with Casey’s dance lessons and pageants when she was young and real estate clients when she was older.
Steve was a quiet perfectionist with a sharp wit who loved his family beyond measure. He was the ultimate DadDad, going above and beyond to help care for his grandchildren and loved his time spent just talking with them. He spent the last seven years with his family in Las Vegas, so proud to see them flourish in their new adventure.
Steve is survived by his wife, Lydia, his daughter Casey (Eric), grandchildren Kyler and Jax, sister Rosalie, nieces Catherine (Brad), Maxine (Bill), and AnneMarie, and great nieces Lauren and Samantha, and great nephew Josh. Although he left us suddenly, our hearts are forever full. His wisdom, advice, and funny chats will be greatly missed and remembered always.
