Thomas Telford Taylor & Vera Mae Taylor
After 62 years of marriage, life came to an end as we know it for our parents, here on earth. They have moved onto their heavenly home where they will never know another day of pain, and will live eternally under the wings and guidance of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Dad was born Thomas Telford Taylor, in New Castle, England on January 15, 1924, he passed away on April 4, 2012 after two plus years of suffering with COPD. And mom was born Vera Mae Edwards, in Dalton, Georgia on September 28, 1930. They married on December 4, 1949. Mom cared for our father the entire time of his illness even knowing that she was silently suffering with the same illness as her husband, and just a couple of days before he passed, she collapsed and was hospitalized; however her heart just could not stand the strain of all she had endured, and she passed May 1, 2012.
Our parents leave behind an amazing legacy consisting of their 3-daughters: Janet Lane Mentzel, Paige Ann Arcuri, Kimberly Hoffmann and Kim’s wonderful husband
Forest Hoffmann, 5-grandchildren: Tory Harper-Bonacci, Thomas Telford Parsons,
Christopher Robert Mentzel, Marisa Ann Mentzel, & Neil Thomas Arcuri. 14-Great
Grandchildren: Kyle Westen, David Bonacci, Cole Petersen, Breanne Parsons, Brandon
Parsons, Emerald Parsons, Gwendalyn Parsons, Arleigh Parsons, Gypsy Wind
Mentzel, Destiny Sun Mentzel, Gage Mathew Mentzel, Anthony Frank Modica, Robert
Christopher Mentzel &, Lyrik Myah Leigh Arcuri and finally 4-Great-great Grandchildren:
Kaylee, Bentley Christopher, Deegan & Dominic. (If memory serves me, I left no one
out and spelled correctly)
Our parents will be sadly missed by all three of us, their grandchildren and great-
grandchildren. The holidays just won’t be the same, we spent each and every holiday
and birthday together, but we will carry their memory and all the memories they leave behind, with us every day in our hearts.
