Van Alden Marshall
Van Alden Marshall age 85 a retired Cashman Cadillac Service Manager, passed away peacefully with his family at his side September 19th 2017. He was preceded in death by his Parents Olive May and Andrew Marion, Sister Donna Marion, brother Burke Leroy, Sister Betty, His wife of 52 years Lois Janae and son Link Van. He is survived by Sister Mary Valeen, 2 sons James Paul (Crisanta), Zane Andrew (Sue), 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was born September 1st 1932 in Huntington UT. After his father was injured in a coal mine cave-in he moved with his family to Salt Lake City, Kaysville and then to Henderson NV where he graduated High School from Basic High in 1951. He moved to Grace Idaho to join with his older brother Burke in a service station business. This is where He met his wife Janae. Finally settling in Las Vegas where he worked for Cashman Cadillac where he retired as their Service Manager in 1994. He stated “how did I have time for work I am so busy now”. He made friends wherever he went. He had many hobbies one of his favorites was flying his Cessna 175 (N6686E) 5 times to Alaska and don’t forget Archery where he became an accomplished marksman and challenged his many archery friends with his skill and stories. His love of adventure was most evident in his travels where he loved to take the backroad whenever possible. A celebration of his life will be held October 14th 2017 at 1:00 pm at the LDS Chapel 1002 Burkholder Blvd in Henderson NV.
