Warren C. Moore Sr.

20130612_174327Warren Clyde Moore, Sr., 72, of Las Vegas, passed away at his home on Sunday, March 30, 2014.  He fought a courageous battle, but was unable to overcome the severe complications he suffered from congestive heart failure and lung disease. Warren was born on August 24, 1941 in Lumberport, West Virginia to Ardist Denzil Moore and Virginia Blanch Williams. He had one brother, Willis; and one sister, Doris. Warren was also blessed with 2 children; Julie and Warren Jr.

Warren joined the US Marine Corps in 1958 and served his country with honor until his release in 1964. He worked for several years as a glazier in Virginia, Nevada, and California. He retired from glass work in 1987 after sustaining a debilitating injury to his left hand.

He then moved to Tampa, Florida where he met Christine Floyd in 1989. Together they formed the original Christine’s Lingerie. The two of them made their business widely known, and very successful. As time went on, some of Warren and Christine’s clients began to request specialty leather items, which challenged Warren; who had always been skilled with his hands, to craft beautiful and unique leather wear despite the limited use of his left hand. Christine’s Lingerie began specializing in leatherwear, and became Lady C Leather.

After 14 years, Warren and Christine moved Lady C Leather to Las Vegas in 2003 where their business and reputation flourished. Warren loved what he did with the leather, and the continued challenge of crafting the very special, one-of-a-kind items that his customers asked for. He never failed to make them all happy. The main love and inspiration in Warren’s life… Christine. They spent every day together taking care of their business and taking care of each other. Warren was loved, and will be missed tremendously.

He is survived by his life partner and soul mate, Christine Floyd, his son, Warren Moore Jr., nephew Johnny Musser, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Julie, his brother Willis, his sister Doris, his parents Denzil and Virginia, and Damian the Cocker Spaniel.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Lady C Leather, 4037 W. Sahara Ave. Las Vegas at 3:00 PM where all are welcome to come and pay their respects and condolences.

In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated and can be made at any Wells Fargo to the Warren Clyde Moore Sr. Memorial Fund, account# 9993435222.
