William John Treger, Jr.

William John Treger, Jr. (Bill) lost his battle with renal failure and diabetes on March 16th, 2021.  He is survived by his loving wife, Bernadette, daughter Margie Seitz (husband, Chris), granddaughter Elizabeth Seitz and his father, William J. Treger, Sr.

Bill lived his life well, he traveled far and wide, he worked hard, and he enjoyed time with his family. He was a gaming executive for forty years and worked with regulators, manufacturers, casinos and tribes in various roles.  His had several self-proclaimed claims to fame, being “Mr. Canada”, “Mr. Bingo” and of course, his favorite, he slept in every state in the US and every province in Canada.  Bill was respected far and wide and his legacy lives on through the people he mentored and his daughter who followed in his footsteps.  To honor his time spent with the Boy Scouts the family requests donations made to Boy Scouts of America in lieu of flowers.

  • Bill and I were college classmates at Seton Hall University, graduating in 1970. He and I were members of the college Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) during our first 2 years at The Hall. His laugh was infectious, as was his personality. I will miss him and will keep him in my prayers. With Deepest Sympathy, Steve Zipko
