William (Bill) Moio
January 27, 2015
William Moio lost his battle with heart disease while under hospice care on January 27, 2015. He is survived by his loving wife, Debi; children Dominick, Angelo, Bill, Mary, Tom, Jim, Dennis, Samantha; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and his dog and best friend Buster. William, better known as Bill, loved college sports – especially Notre Dame Football and Louisville Basketball. In his pastime, he enjoyed golf, cooking, coloring, reading and music of all kinds.
He was born in Seneca Falls, New York on September 7, 1929 to Dominick Moio and Mary Helen Cherock. He graduated from Mynerse Academy High school and received a business degree from University of New York, Utica. He worked as a Labor Union Negotiator in New York, Maine and Connecticut before moving west to become a Casino Manager in Reno, Nevada. He retired in Sandpoint, Idaho where he marshaled for the Elks Golf Course. He was extremely loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents and all of his siblings. Bill requested no services be held.
Dom, Ang, Bill, Mary, and Tom,…sending you love and a warm embrace. Our hearts are with you. Love your cousin, Joanne & Alison
Dear Ang, I am so sorry to hear about your dad. Know that I am thinking of you and your family and my prayers are with you all. Love you, Patti.
Angelo……oh I was so sad to read this today. He lived a good long life. He had to be a great dad as he raised a loving family. Please let your family know that we have you all in our thoughts and prayers.
Thank God for the memories and know he is in a better place and no pain.
I never had the opportunity to meet you, but I did get to know your son, Angelo! He is a loving, caring individual. You hurt…he hurts. You laugh…he laughs. You cry…he cries. He is grounded and is extremely responsible, and hones up to his mistakes, as few as they are! His life is full of dance! It is what he lives for, and he does it so well!
I am sharing this with you, because I want you to know that because of you, Angelo turned into the man he is today. And because of you, he has many friends sharing his sadness, because you needed to be somewhere else today.
I just wish I had the opportunity to have met you, but I did meet your son, and because of you, he is an integral part of my life. You should be so proud of all he has done. I am sure your other children have friends who are just as proud! I know I am!
So, until we meet, I just wanted you to know that you can rest in peace. Angelo is doing just fine…and it’s all thanks to you!
Peace and light,
Dear Mrs. Moio and Family,
As the days pass and your grief fades, may your senses be filled with everything that reminds you of this man’s love, determination, and strength; and as God allows, know that he is still with you.
