William Parks

William Glen (Bill) Parks Sr. 71 of Las Vegas passed away October 1, 2014. Born in Knoxville, TN to Willie and Carlyne Parks. He is survived by his devoted wife Darlene Parks of 51 years, his children William Parks Jr., Lisa Parks, Kevin Parks and son-in-law Shane Jolly. Grand children Larry Pabst Jr., Dale Pabst, William Parks III, Brandon Parks, Destiny Smith and Dustin Smith and 6 great grand children. His Sisters Laverne (Duane) Miller of Mercedes, TX, Linda Reed of Mesa, AZ, Karen (Frank) Tarbert of Houston, TX and brother Carl (Barbara) Parks of Bastrop, TX and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bill lived and went to school in Edinburg, TX. He moved to Page, AZ in the early 60’s went to school and worked on the Glen Canyon Dam on the Colorado River. There he met the love of his life Darlene. They moved to Las Vegas and were married. Bill worked for Anderson Dairy for 27 years and then went to work for Western Pipeline until he retired. Bill enjoyed gold mining, playing Keno and playing Farmville. He was a fun loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will be missed dearly by all that knew him. A celebration of his live will be Saturday October 11^th at his son Kevin’s home from 1:00 – 4:00 pm.
